RCN is built to collect the minimum data needed to run the product safely, help people find relevant communities, and keep the service usable without ad-driven profiling.
Practical privacy choices
- You can use just a nickname; it does not have to be your legal name.
- RCN works with an approximate area, not an exact home address.
- The product is not designed around selling attention to advertisers.
Privacy, safety, and moderation
User privacy and safety cannot be separated from moderation and community protection. Communities need tools for setting boundaries, reporting issues, and respectful participation by their members so RCN can remain a safe place in everyday use.
Control and deletion
The goal is to let you set notifications and your way of using RCN so it works for you and does not keep pulling you back into online space. And if you decide to leave, you can delete your account and personal data.
